Get the Glow: Sparkling Halo Eye Tutorial ft. The Natasha Denona Love Face Palette

When it comes to romantic, high-glam makeup that looks effortless, nobody does it like Natasha Denona. In her latest tutorial, she showcases the versatility of the Love Face Palette, moving away from a traditional wing to create a multidimensional Sparkling Halo Eye.

If you’ve ever felt intimidated by bold pinks or sparkling metallics, this "Halo" technique is the perfect way to wear them. It’s all about creating light in the center of the eye to make your gaze look wider, brighter, and more awake.

Why the "Halo Eye" Works

Unlike a smokey eye (which is dark all over) or a cat eye (which pulls the eye outward), a Halo Eye places depth on the inner and outer corners of the lid, leaving the center "open" for a pop of bright, sparkling pigment. This creates a 3D effect that is incredibly flattering on all eye shapes.

Step-by-Step: The Love Face Palette Look

1. Perfect the Base

Natasha always emphasizes a clean canvas. Start by using the creamy matte transition shades from the palette. Apply a soft wash of color through the crease to act as a bridge between the bolder shades and your skin tone.

2. Frame the "Halo"

Using the deeper matte shades (like the rich burgundies or deep plums in the palette):

  • Apply the color to the outer third of the eyelid.

  • Apply the same color to the inner third of the eyelid.

  • The Key: Leave the very center of your eyelid completely bare. This is where the magic happens!

3. The Sparkling Centerpiece

This is the star of the show. Using your ring finger (or a flat brush dampened with setting spray), press the brightest metallic shade from the Love Face Palette directly onto the center of the lid.

  • Pro Tip: Gently tap the edges where the sparkle meets the matte shades to ensure a seamless, "blown-out" gradient.

4. The Lower Lash Line

Mirror the top! Apply the dark matte shades to the inner and outer corners of the lower lash line, and a touch of the sparkle in the center. This connects the whole look.

5. Complete the Face

The Love Face Palette isn't just for eyes. To tie the romantic look together:

  • The Cream Blush: Tap the taffy-pink cream blush onto the apples of your cheeks for a fresh, "lit-from-within" flush.

  • The Dream Glow: Finish with the highlighter on the high points of your face—cheekbones, brow bone, and the bridge of the nose.

Application

Apply cheek blush to area of cheeks with most desired concentration of pigment, and diffuse as required using either a brush, sponge, or your fingers.
Layer with Dream Glow ensuring to hit high points.
Apply eyeshadows as desired, using flat brushes to add intensity and fluffy brushes to diffuse.
